September 30, 2025 — Member of the National Assembly (MNA)
from a reserved seat, Ms. Ghazala Anjum, visited the University of Chitral and met
with the Vice Chancellor, Faculty and Students. The vice chancellor briefed her
on various Programmes of the university. The Vice Chancellor- Professor Dr.
HazirUllah drew her attention to the university fragile financial health and
the struggle for sustainable finance. He submitted the university’s request for
her support in establishing university endowment funds, students’scholarships,
federal government funding for the capital investment (infrastructure/full
scope restoration of the ongoing PSDP project),Establishment of Youth
Development centre and increase in the quota of PM laptop scheme for the
university of Chitral’s students. She was given a visit to the ongoing PSDP
project site and was briefed about the progress.
Ms. Anjum, while addressing the students, assured that she
would take up the matter of increasing the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme
quota for the University of Chitral from 200 to 1,500 slots with the Prime
Minister, in order to provide greater opportunities for access to digital
resources and modern learning facilities.
Ms. Anjumexpressed her satisfactionon the ongoing PSDP
project progress and appreciated the efforts of the Vice Chancellor and his
team for theircommitment to the progress of the university. She promised all
her possible assistance to the university whenever and wherever needed. Leaving
the campus she reiterated her satisfaction and expressed her appreciation by
stating “meeting the vice chancellor gave me the confidence and trust to state that
the university of Chitralis in the rights hands”
